PLANO, Texas–The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation has awarded 145 grants totaling $324,390.
Among the awarded grants, 141 will support overall credit union development while four grants will foster financial capability initiatives, according to the Cornerstone CU League.
“Credit union development grants consist of various requests that promote the success and advancement of credit unions in the Cornerstone region, including Hispanic outreach and the young professional initiatives,” the CCUL said.
Ten chapters received grants for outreach, professional development opportunities, or to promote credit union awareness, according to the league. The remaining credit union development grants will provide training and education to credit union staff and volunteers, planning sessions, audits, website updates, and new equipment and software, among others.
