Cooperative CU Association, Indiana League Announce Results of Board Elections

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.–Two credit union associations have announced the results of their board elections.

The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) announced results of its board elections during its conference, APEX 2022, which was held in collaboration with the Credit Union League of Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun Resort.

Below, from left, Blanche Jackson, Roland Draper, and Fred Reinhardt.

Election results included:

  • Blanche Jackson, president/CEO of Stepping Stones Community FCU, was elected to a Delaware board seat
  • Roland Draper, president/CEO of Somerville’s Credit Union and current CCUA board chair, was re-elected to an at-large, small credit union board seat
  • Fred Reinhardt, president/CEO of Greenwood Credit Union and current CCUA second vice-chair, was re-elected to a Rhode Island board seat

Other Members of Board

The CCUA board is comprised of 11 members, including Anabela P. Grenier, president/CEO, Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union (vice chair); Maurice W. Dawkins, president/CEO, American Spirit Federal Credit Union (treasurer); A. Scott MacKnight, president/CEO, Triangle Credit Union (secretary); David Araujo, president/CEO, Service Credit Union; Robert M. Cashman, president/CEO, Metro Credit Union; Eileen Danahey, president/CEO, St. Anne's Credit Union of Fall River, Mass.; Rui F. Domingos, president/CEO, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Federal Credit Union; and Stephen J. White, president/CEO, Westerly Community Credit Union.

Elections in the Hoosier State

Meanwhile, the Indiana Credit Union League board has elected its executive officers and named a new director at its recent meeting on Oct. 14.

Table officers include:

  • Chairwoman: Karen Madry, Afena FCU, Marion
  • Vice Chair: Nina Baker, ProFed FCU, Fort Wayne
  • Board Secretary: Cari Palmer, Energy Plus CU, Indianapolis
  • Treasurer: Amy Sink, Interra CU, Elkhart

“This is noteworthy leadership for our state,” said Indiana Credit Union League President John McKenzie. “Karen Madry is the first African American chair of the Indiana League, and this is the first time all four board officer positions have been held by females at the same time.”

Affiliates elected Brett Rinker of Thrive FCU in Muncie to a three-year term on the board of directors. He attended his first board meeting on Oct. 14.

Other Indiana League board members include Jill Banning, REGIONAL FCU, Hammond; Andy Mattingly, FORUM CU, Fishers; Bryan Price, Indiana University CU, Bloomington; and Kevin Sparks, Crane CU, Odon.

Leaving the board as of the conclusion of the league annual meeting was Immediate Past Chairman Dave Abernathy of Via CU. He was recognized during the meeting with a special resolution.
