MARLBOUROUGH, Mass.–Graduates who are family members of the employees of credit unions in the four states served by the Cooperative Credit Union Association will be recognized during a virtual graduation ceremony and celebration hosted by the association this week.
The goal is to compensate at least a little bit for the graduation ceremonies that have been cancelled for members of the Class of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We think the graduating class of 2020 deserves to be recognized for their achievements,” the CCUA said. “We especially want to join with our credit union ‘family’ in honoring and celebrating their students.”
For the last few weeks the CCUA has been collecting stories from CU employees of family members who have graduated.
On Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Cooperative CU Association will host a celebratory Zoom webinar called “Honoring Our Graduates – a Credit Union Celebration,” which will include speakers, a virtual procession (slide show) of all grads, and a live prize drawing. One lucky grad from each of the four states served by the CCUA–Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island—will receive $100 gift card AND $100 will be awarded in their name to the charity of their choice.
The celebration, which will be recorded, can be viewed here.
