SALT LAKE CITY–Approximately 80 leaders of smaller credit unions are expected to be in attendance when the Western Small Credit Union Conference convenes in several weeks.
The meeting is being hosted by CUNA, along with state credit union associations in Utah, the Dakotas, New Mexico and the newly formed GoWest Credit Union Association.
According to Tom Sakash, manager of Small Credit Union Initiatives with CUNA, the meeting’s core agenda will focus on three issues: technology, lending and leadership.
“We felt those are the three areas credit unions are thinking hardest about and which would be most impactful for their organizations,” Sakash said.
The meeting is being scheduled for July 17-19 and is being held at Mountain America Credit Union, which has donated its meeting space for the event.
