GRAND CHUTE, Wis. - Community First Credit Union here has purchased the naming rights for the new Fox Cities Champion Center, which is currently under construction. When completed, the new facility will be known as the Community First Champion Center Fox Cities. The cost of the naming rights was not disclosed.
The Community First Champion Center Fox Cities will include ice and hard court surfaces, with the ice rink to be open all year. The facility will be able to seat up to 1,000 people and will have four basketball courts that convert to eight volleyball courts. It is set to open in fall of 2019.
"We couldn't be more pleased to partner with all of the municipalities, with the Convention and Visitors Bureau, with all of you to make this a reality," Cathie Tierney of Community First Credit Union, was quoted by WBAY as saying.
"This is going to be a treasure for the community, not only for local athletes, but it's going to invite people from other areas to bring their competing teams here, in tournaments, on the weekends, and that just really enhances the vibrancy of our entire community," added Amanda Secor of Community First Credit Union.
