Coffee Shop To Open Second Location Inside CU’s New Facilities; La Macchia Group Is Designer

MERRILL, Wis. – First Street Coffee Station said it will open a second location inside Park City Credit Union’s new headquarters here.

The café will occupy 2,500 square feet of the 26,000 square-foot headquarters that is under construction.

Rated No. 1 in Merrill by TripAdvisor for coffee and tea, First Street Coffee Station will maintain its own hours of operation and have its own drive-thru window at the new headquarters scheduled to open in late summer 2018. The café is owned by local couple Don and Dawn Swan, the credit union said.

“From the start, we envisioned having a café/bistro as part of our new headquarters,” said Val Mindak, president and CEO of Park City, in a statement. “The idea of a community coffee shop fits very well with our culture. We want our new headquarters to be a place for the community to gather.”

Designed by Milwaukee-based La Macchia Group LLC, the new headquarters will have an open, modern design and will feature a 100-seat community room equipped with audiovisual equipment. Park City said it will offer this space to nonprofit and community organizations for meetings and other events.

To honor the credit union’s tagline of “Celebrating Life. Celebrating You.” Park City and First Street Coffee Station will be teaming up to offer a free cup of coffee to all who stop in the shop on Thursday, Sept. 21, to celebrate the partnership announcement.
