Clarion FCU, Goldenwest CU Announce Special Year-End Dividends

CLARION, Penn.–Clarion FCU has declared a $350,000 Special Bonus Dividend to its members, based on their relationships with the credit union during 2020.

The Special Bonus Dividend was posted to members savings accounts in early January.  Almost 75% of the membership benefited from the Special Bonus Dividend, the credit union reported.

Clarion FCU noted that over the last five years it has returned $1.5 million to members through the bonus.

The $126-million Clarion FU has approximately 11,295 members.

Goldenwest Dividend

Separately, in Ogden, Utah, Goldenwest Credit Union paid a $2.2 million bonus dividend at year-end to members. Over the past 17 years the credit union has returned $17.4 million in earnings to members, it said.

The one-time dividend of 4.25% APY was paid on top of the stated monthly dividend of 0.05% APY. Members earned 4.30% APY for the month of December on primary shares, secondary shares, Christmas Club shares, and IRA shares. Dividend earning amounts will vary by member based on the average daily balance in their individual accounts over the 2020 calendar year.
