SILVER CITY, N.M.—Members of Chino Federal Credit Union will soon vote on whether to merge into First Financial Credit Union in Albuquerque.
The 6,500 members will vote on the merger proposal on Feb. 12.
CFCU’s management has said it favors the merger into the $425-million First Financial, as it will allow the CU to expand product and service offerings, including mobile banking. The credit unions have said there will be no layoffs in the event the merger is approved.
