Cherry Blossom Run Getting Closer; PSCU Again Sponsoring

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—PSCU is returning for the eighth consecutive year as the lead sponsor of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run in Washington D.C.

The high-profile race/run helps the event’s title sponsor, Credit Union Miracle Day (CUMD), underwrite the expenses associated with staging the event.

The 43rd edition of the Washington race is set for April 12, 2015. The race is the flagship event in the CUMD family of road races that benefit hospitals in the Children’s Miracle Network. The 2015 run will mark the 14th year of title sponsorship by CUMD. Since 2002, over $6.5 million has been raised for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

In addition to the Washington race, the CUMD Family of Races this year includes The Credit Union SacTown Ten-Mile Run in Sacramento‚ Calif., also on April 12‚ and two Freedom Ten-Mile Runs for U.S. troops stationed overseas.

“PSCU is honored to continue as lead sponsor for this very special event that helps so many children around the country receive the treatment they need,” said Scott Wagner, PSCU EVP of membership development. “The Credit Union Cherry Blossom family of races is a powerful platform to heighten awareness on Capitol Hill about the cooperative credit union spirit and the commitment that credit unions demonstrate to helping their local communities thrive and grow.”
