NEW YORK—Add Chase Bank to those offering consumers free access to their credit scores.
Chase is launching a new website called “Credit Journey” that will provide users with a free Vantage Score 3.0 score based on their TransUnion credit report and other credit tools.
In addition to the free credit reports the site provides tailored insights into factors behind a credit score, as well as a summary of total credit balance, credit utilization rate and late payments across credit accounts, Bank Innovation reported.
The website can also alert customers to changes in their credit report that could indicate potential signs of identity theft, fraud or inaccuracies that could damage a score, Bank Innovation reported.
Included, too, is a “Score Simulator,” which shows how certain actions, such as getting a loan, increasing card limits, or paying on time, can affect a consumer’s overall score.
