SPRINGFIELD, Vt.–A man attempted to steal an ATM from One Credit Union here by dragging it away, but failed over the weekend.
Police in Springfield said video shows the man backing up a light colored pickup truck, wrapping a chain around the ATM, and attempting to pull the ATM from its moorings. The man made two attempts, but the chain released in both instances. The suspect is seen wearing all-black clothing and a black face mask.
