INDEPENDENCE, Ohio–Century FCU has named a new president and CEO to replace the retiring Sharon Churchill.
The $434-million Century Federal said it has named Ira “Dave” Wilde to lead the organization. Churchill is stepping away after 14 years at the credit union.
Wilde has more than 25 years of experience in executive management in credit unions, including most recently as VP-marketing, business development, and wealth management at Sun Federal Credit Union. He also was previously with CUNA Mutual Group (now TruStage).
“He is known for his exceptional leadership principles and innovative ideas that consistently drive superior performance,” Century FCU said.
Wilde has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance, insurance, and real estate from California State University, Sacramento.
‘Pivotal’ Leadership
“Throughout his tenure, Wilde was instrumental in formulating successful marketing strategies, spearheading business development ventures, and pioneering the introduction of cutting-edge products,” the credit union added. “His leadership was pivotal in driving the credit union's membership growth, service diversification, and overall improvement in member satisfaction.”
Wilde has also served as chair of the Ohio Credit Union League, OCULAC/OCULPAC Board, and State of Ohio Board Representative on what was then CUNA’s CULAC Board. He also served as a Board Member at the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie.
‘Humbled and Enthusiastic’
“I am humbled and enthusiastic to collaborate with such a dedicated team,” said Wilde. “My focus remains steadfast on our members and employees. I will work to create a culture of excellence that prioritizes their prosperity and well-being.”
