OMAHA, Neb., -- To mark its 90th anniversary this year, Centris Federal Credit Union said it will host the Centris Music Fest on July 27.
The event will be held at Stinson Park in Aksarben The $1.3-billion Centris FCU noted it was the 28th federally chartered credit union founded when chartered in 1934 (the same year the Federal Credit Union Act was passed) by employees of the Omaha Telephone Co.
“We are very excited to host a free, day-long concert event for our employees and the community in honor of our 90th anniversary,” Dawn Gonzales, vice president-community relations for the credit union, said in a statement.
Bands, Food Trucks
According to the credit union, the Centris Music Fest will feature multiple local bands, food trucks, face painting, the Centris Chill Zone, balloon art, yard games and other activities. The concert event begins at 2 p.m. and will end with a Centris fireworks show at 10 p.m. Six different bands are scheduled to play.
As part of the 90th anniversary celebration, Centris FCU said it will also sponsor the entire summer concert series, 15 in all, as part of “Centris Presents Saturdays at Stinson.”
Centris FCU has more than 130,000 members.
