Central One FCU Names New President/CEO

SHREWSBURY, Mass.–Central One FCU has named a new president and CEO.

Devon Lyon

The $737-million has selected Devon Lyon to lead the organization. Lyon, who has been serving as COO with Direct FCU, will officially succeed Dave L’Ecuyer on Aug. 22nd.

L’Ecuyer, who is retiring, has led Central One as CEO since 1994 after joining the credit union as an assistant manager in 1990, before being promoted to manager of operations in 1991.

Lyon has been with Direct FCU since 2018. Prior to that he served in  senior leadership roles at several financial services institutions, including as director of education at the National Association of Federally Insured Credit Unions. (NAFCU).

Lyon holds a juris doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Binghamton University.

COFCU has more than 34,000 members.
