SHREWSBURY, Mass.–Central One Federal Credit Union will make a sponsorship gift of $750,000 towards the Shrewsbury High School synthetic turf field project here.
Naming rights will be conferred, and upon completion of the project, the stadium will be named Central One Federal Credit Union Stadium.
This transformational gift is the largest gift to the school department in Shrewsbury to date. The synthetic turf field with Central One Federal Credit Union logo emblazoned will be the centerpiece of the improved sports complex.
The total cost for the work on the stadium field area is just over $2 million. The town of Shrewsbury previously approved and appropriated $285,000 to fund the resurfacing of the track. The remaining $1.8 million balance for the synthetic turf project will be raised through corporate sponsorships and private donations from individuals and companies, such as that from the credit union.
