MELROSE, Minn. β Central Minnesota Credit Union has named a new president/CEO. The credit union has selected Charles Friederichs to lead the organization. Friederichs has been serving as interim CEO since October 2018.
Prior to being named interim CEO, Friederichs served as COO for five years and as CFO for six years prior to that. Friederichs has an extensive career within the financial services industry spanning almost 30 years, first joining the credit union movement in 2008 when he made the move to Central Minnesota Credit Union from The Fauquier Bank, where he was SVP/CIO. He has also held roles in information technology at MetaBank and First Federal Savings Bank of the Midwest following 10 years as an examiner for the FDIC.
βTo say I am honored is an understatement. I have spent the past 11 years preparing for this opportunity and I am humbled the board has placed their confidence in me to lead this organization and continue serving the membership and the community at Central Minnesota Credit Union,β said Friederichs.
The $1.1-billion Central Minnesota has approximately 63,339 members.
