LEXINGTON PARK, Md.–Cedar Point FCU plans to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2020 with 75 “Acts of Service.”
Chartered in 1945 to serve local Navy sailors and civil servants, the credit union’s field of membership now includes the Maryland counties of Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s.
In a statement, the $535-million Cedar Point FCU said its 75 Acts of Service will be one of the biggest community projects it has ever launched.
“The credit union’s goal is to make a big impact for those who need it most in the communities it serves,” it said in a statement. “Whether that means helping a child learn to read, providing a meal for someone who is hungry, or planting a tree for a local non-profit, the credit union stands ready to lend a hand.”
Cedar Point FCU said it is accepting community submissions for its 75th Anniversary projects at www.cpfcu.com/75.
