PLANO, Texas–Events at the end of 2016 have the potential to influence significant change at the beginning of 2017, including an expected rate increase by the Federal Reserve.
For that reason and numerous others, Catalyst Corporate will host its fourth annual Blueprint for Success webinar, a free, 50-minute live-streaming event scheduled for Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. CST.
The event is designed to help credit unions understand unfolding economic activity – such as regulatory changes or the investment environment – and the impact it may have on their operations in 2017, Catalyst Corporate said.
“The Fed’s minutes from their meeting in December carry a fairly hawkish tone, and the market has a 45% probability of a hike at their meeting in May,” said Steven Houle, vice president of Catalyst Strategic Solutions Advisory Service and speaker at Catalyst Corporate’s upcoming Blueprint for Success economic outlook. “Unfortunately nobody knows when and by how much rates will increase in 2017.”
In addition to Houle, speakers include Mark DeBree, vice president of Catalyst Strategic Solutions ALM Services; and Sarina Freedland, Catalyst Corporate senior investment officer. Dallas television personality Jane McGarry will moderate.
Catalyst Corporate said his year's event will provide an opportunity for credit unions to interact with the speakers. Attendees may submit questions about the economy during the registration process and/or by using the chat feature during the live event.
Catalyst Corporate will award one CPE credit in the Economics field of study for attendance and participation in this event. This course is a live event with a basic program level. No prerequisite or advance preparation is required. To receive CPE credit, participants will be asked to respond to several poll questions during the presentation, Catalyst Corporate said.
