SALT LAKE CITY – Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals said it is celebrating its more than two-decade partnership with America’s credit unions by kicking off the second annual “Vote for Miracles” campaign.
Through Dec. 19, credit unions and the general public are invited to cast their votes to support their favorite CMN Hospital. At the conclusion of the promotion, the top five hospitals will be awarded a total of $100,000 on behalf of the nation’s credit unions, courtesy of CO-OP Financial Services and CU Direct.
To vote for your favorite CMN Hospital, visit www.VoteForMiracles.org. Individuals can vote once a day over the course of the three-week campaign. The hospital with the most votes will win $50,000. Second through fifth place will receive $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.
When a vote is cast, voters have the option to choose their credit union, noted Children’s Miracle Network. The credit union responsible for the most votes in each of the winning markets will be invited to participate in a check presentation for the respective hospital.
During the 2016 campaign, which saw Hurley Children’s in Flint, Mich., take home the top prize, almost 300,000 votes were cast for 141 CMN Hospitals, representing members from over 2,200 credit unions. The promotion garnered 6.5 million impressions from news stories outside the credit union industry, CMN said.
To help boost those numbers this year and to support the effort to rally the vote, CMN said it is encouraging credit unions to use the resource materials available at www.CU4Kids.org/VoteForMiracles
A helpful new tool is a social sharing custom link builder that will automatically populate the #VoteforMiracles voting form with the name of the local CMN Hospital and participating credit union.
“CO-OP Financial Services is proud to partner with CU Direct to provide the $100,000 on behalf of the credit union movement,” said Joe Franklin, vice president, experiential marketing and engagement. “We believe Vote for Miracles is a powerful opportunity to showcase the credit union difference to a large national audience, and, of course, it goes towards a tremendously worthy cause.”
Tony Boutelle, president and CEO at CU Direct, added, “As a longtime supporter of the Credit Unions for Kids program, CU Direct and its employees are excited to partner with CO-OP Financial Services to sponsor this year’s Vote for Miracles program. We are not only contributing much-needed funds for the top five winning hospitals but we are also highlighting the wonderful work credit unions are doing to support their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the U.S.”
