ALBANY, N.Y. – The Credit Union Association of New York reported that its Young Professionals Commission hosted a series of “cash mobs” during International Credit Union Week that netted more than $2,500 for locally owned businesses throughout New York state.
From Buffalo to New York City, nearly 150 credit union supporters—including credit union CEOs, management, staff and members—participated in the 12 separate events. Each cash mob group left behind cards that expressed thanks on behalf of the state’s credit unions and their members, the association reported.
