ROSEBURG, Ore.–Cascade Community Credit Union has named Lynn Calvert as its interim CEO following the recent death of CEO Bob Dempsey.
As CUToday.info reported here, Mr. Dempsey, 65, had spent more than 59 years in financial services.
Since 2016 Calvert has been executive vice president of Cascade Community. Prior to joining CCCU, Calvert spent two years as CEO of EWEB Employees Credit Union in Eugene, Ore., and also has 24 years in other roles in the financial services industry. In a released statement the credit union said her experience in negotiating, strategic analysis, and member relations “has greatly contributed and will continue to aid in the growth of CCCU.”
“Over the last few years Lynn has shown outstanding leadership,” said Sam Lee, CCCU’s board chairman. “The board feels Lynn is the best choice to move the credit union through this difficult time and into continued prosperity.”
Cascade Community announced that for those wanting to make a donation in memory of Dempsey, it is accepting monetary contributions for the Pathfinder Scholarships, which benefit recent and upcoming high school graduates pursuing higher education.
