Carving of Half-Ton Pumpkin. Dressed Like Giant Solo Cups. Here’s How Some CUs Spent Halloween

RIVERDALE, Utah – Credit unions across the country were active on Halloween this week, engaging in a range of not-so-ghoulish activities.

Among those efforts was the carving of a 1,170-pound pumpkin by Zach Winegar, vice president of marketing with America First Credit Union. Winegar participated in the Fourth Annual Pumpkin Carve at Station Park in Farmington, Utah, where he turned the half-ton pumpkin into a work of art over 14 hours. The massive pumpkin was on display at the Pumpkin Party at the Park event at Station Park.

Winegar has made a specialty of carving the giant pumpkins and participated in a Q&A with CUToday.info explaining how he developed his skills here.

Meanwhile, in Mansfield, Texas, the management team at Texas Trust Credit Union dressed in giant red Solo Cup costumes, as can be seen here.
