Card Issuers Continue to Make Adjustments to Rewards Programs

CHICAGO—The adjustments credit card issuers are making due to the pandemic, particularly those in the travel and lodging space, just keep coming.

Hyatt is the latest to increase incentives to use its cards to book stays at its hotels.

The company just launched a lucrative promotion offering up to a 25% rebate when consumers redeem points for a free night stay through Oct. 8, 2020.

There are two tiers to the offer, depending on whether cardholders have a Hyatt credit card. While all World of Hyatt loyalty members will receive a 15% rebate, those who currently have the World of Hyatt Credit Card or the older Hyatt Credit Card—which is no longer available to new customers—will receive an additional 10% rebate for a total of 25% back in points, CNN reported.
