Capital Credit Union to Host ‘Local Heroes’ Softball Game That Features Police, Fire, EMS

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Capital Credit Union said it plans to host a “Local Heroes” softball game on July 14 featuring volunteers from local police, fire, and EMS organizations.

Participants will compete in a “friendly softball match to honor and celebrate the individuals who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe,” the credit union said. The game will be held at the Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.

Prior to the Timber Rattlers game at 12:30 PM, there will be a check presentation to acknowledge the $2.47-billion Capital Credit Union’s 2024 Elevate Communities recipients. More than $100,000 was given to the selected recipients of this funding program. The Timber Rattlers will play at 1:10 PM, with the Local Heroes softball game scheduled to follow around 4 p.m., according to the credit union.

In addition, funds raised from the Capital Credit Union slide during the Timber Rattlers game will be donated to local police, fire, and EMS organizations, to offer additional support to those who serve our communities.
