LONE TREE, Colo.—Canvas Credit Union said it will once again be the Official Credit Union of the Rocky Mountain Showdown, the annual college football rivalry between the Colorado State University Rams and the University of Colorado Buffaloes.
It is the fourth consecutive year Canvas CU has been a sponsor, and Canvas will also be hosting a field goal kicking contest with a chance for two students to win $10,000!
“We’re all about supporting our communities, especially at a good old-fashioned rivalry like the Showdown, which kicks off the Colorado football season,” said Todd Marksberry, president and CEO of Canvas Credit Union. “We’re here to help people afford life, which includes the costs of college by providing scholarship opportunities, as well as free financial education in neighborhoods and schools. We’re so proud to be part of this classic match-up between these two great schools!”
Canvas Credit Union reported that since 2017, the credit union’s annual scholarship programs have awarded more than $150,000 to help Colorado students pay for college expenses.
