HENDERSON, Nev.–Bluepoint Solutions is reporting that Camino Federal Credit Union will deploy both its FASTdocs suite, for enterprise content management, and it ImagePoint suite, for end-to-end item capture and processing.

By taking an integrated approach, the $140-million Camino FCU in Montebello, Calif. will eliminate many manual processes, create new opportunities for efficiency, and reach members whenever and wherever they are.

“For every dollar we invest in technology, our highest priority is to get the right balance between member-facing services and operational improvements,” said Ernesto Flores, president and CEO of Camino FCU. “We know that consumers are willing to find a new bank or credit union to get the self-service experiences they want. But we also know that streamlining our internal systems is what generates the savings we need to fund new member service options–and to support them. Bluepoint will help us do both, and get the balance right.”

To serve the financial needs of Montebello, Norwalk, Cerritos, and La Mirada from only two branches, Camino FCU needs to rely heavily on technology to create a seamless experience from anywhere, Bluepoint said. FASTdocs, including File Import Studio and WebShare, will give the credit union a single repository for all member-related content, including automated real-time importing from multiple systems, and on-demand access to member documents through online banking. The credit union will use ImagePoint Teller, ATM, and QwikDeposit ToGo to integrate in-branch teller capture with member-facing capture at image-enabled ATMs, and through their mobile banking app. ImagePoint Hub, Foundation, and Archive modules will complement item capture with Day 1 and Day 2 processing and check image storage.

“We currently run multiple systems from multiple vendors, which leaves significant gaps in our workflows, hinders productivity and makes upgrades very difficult,” Flores added. “Bluepoint will bring smooth integration with our existing technology – including, critically, our core system, Corelation Keystone – so we spend less time working around multiple systems to obtain member information. And our members will get the same immediate benefit: access to their financial documents from any part of our operation–statements, tax forms, deposited checks and so forth–directly through home banking.”

“Online channels can be a financial institution’s new branch, giving account holders services that mirror the physical branch,” said Alissa Fry-Harris, marketing director for Bluepoint Solutions. “And by adding the self-service tools account holders crave, to this smooth omni-channel experience, Camino can remain relevant to members of all ages and needs. Camino FCU is charting a forward-facing course, and we appreciate the opportunity to partner with them in the years ahead.”
