PALM DESERT, Calif.–Six credit union industry leaders and volunteers, and one credit union, were honored at this year’s California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues’ REACH Conference. The honorees of the Leo H. Shapiro Lifetime Achievement, Distinguished Service, Outstanding Volunteer, Tomorrow’s Star and Kim Bannan Eternal Flame awards were recognized during the event.
The 2015 recipients included:
- Leo H. Shapiro Lifetime Achievement Award: First Entertainment Credit Union CEO Charles Bruen
▪ Distinguished Service Award: SCE Federal Credit Union COO George Poitou and retired Clark County Credit Union President and CEO Wayne Tew
▪ J. Alvin George Outstanding Volunteer Award: Credit Union of Southern California Board Member Eric Day
▪ Tomorrow’s Star Award: Boulder Dam Credit Union Human Resources Consultant Brandi Stankovic
▪ Kim Bannan Eternal Flame Awards: allU.S. Credit Union President and CEO Patrick Redo (individual), Long Beach City Employees Federal Credit Union (credit union/organization)
