SANTA ROSA, Calif.–The former Sonoma County Grange Credit Union has a new name. The $45-million CU is now operating as North Bay Credit Union.
CEO Chris Call told local media it was seeking a new name and logo that remained true to the CU’s agricultural roots and to also convey its field of membership. The new logo features grapes and accent colors as a nod to Sonoma County and North Bay viticulture.
“We certainly honor our founders’ commitment to the North Bay by caring for our members’ overall financial well-being,” said Call in a statement. “We offer a full line of services, catering to the specific needs of our community. You won’t find many places that make loans for agricultural land purchases, farm equipment, and students’ 4H and FFA projects.”
North Bay CU was founded in 1948 and has 2,500 members. A video describing the CU’s history and reason for being can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sim1GEFIQnc.
