SANTA CRUZ, Calif.–President Trump has issued a major disaster declaration for residents of the California counties of Lake, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma and Yolo as the state battles to get wildfires under control.
Santa Cruz Community Credit Union has reminded its members the declaration means expanded eligibility for support including crisis counseling, housing and unemployment assistance and legal services.
SCCU is urging its members who have sustained losses in the designated to apply for assistance with FEMA.
In addition, Santa Cruz Community reminded members it has emergency loans and other assistance available to help members “through these difficult circumstances.”
