SILICON VALLEY, Calif.–Two more credit unions have announced sponsorship tie-ins with professional sports franchises.
In California, Meriwest Credit Union said it has signed on with the first National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) franchise in the Bay Area, Bay FC.
“This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both organizations as they join hands to help empower women in sports and support our local communities,” the credit union said. “Meriwest Credit Union has always been committed to supporting initiatives that promote diversity, inclusivity, and local engagement. By partnering with Bay FC, the credit union aims to promote gender equality in sports and create opportunities for aspiring women athletes in the Bay Area.”
Official CU of Team
With the partnership, Meriwest becomes the official Credit Union Partner of Bay FC, and “looks forward to providing custom financial solutions to fans, staff and players alike.”
"We are thrilled to partner with Bay FC, the team is well aligned with our values, making it a natural decision to step up and take part in their inaugural season, in support of the incredible talent and dedication of women athletes in soccer,” said CEO Lisa Pesta. “We believe together we can create a positive impact through teamwork and inspire the next generation of athletes to reach their highest potential."
Austin Telco Has Express Message
Separately, in Austin Telco FCU has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Round Rock Express of minor league baseball’s Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The team is based in Round Rock, Texas.
The sponsorship will see Austin Telco become the new Kids’ Game sponsor at every home game, enhancing the game-day experience for kids with exclusive offerings for participants, the credit union said.
“This sponsorship not only allows us to reach the Round Rock community, but also provides us with the opportunity to engage with fans in a fun and interactive way,” said Katrina Levenick, VP-marketing and business development at Austin Telco.
