CUs In PEI Offering $50 Toward Gym Memberships

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I.–Credit unions on Prince Edward Island are again offering up to $50 cash back to any P.E.I. credit union member to put towards their gym membership fees.

Through Nov. 29, members can apply to receive a $50 credit which will be applied directly to their CU account.

This year marks the third year credit unions on Prince Edward Island are offering the “Get Active” program. According to the CUs, the program looks to save Islanders who are already active at a gym some of the costs associated with that membership.

“Credit unions believe that an active lifestyle leads to a better, happier life. This is why it’s concerning to learn that half of Islanders reported an inactive daily lifestyle,” the credit unions said in a statement. “As a result, the Get Active program came to life–making it P.E.I. Credit Union’s mission to get Islanders more physically active.”

Goals Surpassed

The credit unions reported that for the past two years, P.E.I. Credit Union’s Get Active program has surpassed its goals, with more members looking to apply to the program. P.E.I. Credit Unions hopes that even more members will take advantage of the fantastic offer this year, the CUs said.

To participate, eligible members must complete the online application form which will available at creditunionspei.com, or on participating CUs’ websites once the application period opens.
