CUs Challenged To Competition On The (Not Yet Frozen) Tundra

MUSKEGO, Wis.–Corporate Central and Special Olympics Wisconsin have teamed up to challenge CUs to compete in the Titletown Showdown First Annual Credit Union Challenge.

The event will be held on Sept. 15 at the historic City Stadium in Green Bay, where the Green Bay Packers played from 1925 to 1956. Corporate Central said it is now challenging credit unions to form flag football teams to compete against each other, show support by heading to Green Bay to cheer on the teams, or make donations to a participating team.

All proceeds collected by teams benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes and help foster the Special Olympics mission: “To provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy while participating in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, Special Olympics athletes, and the community.”
“We are very excited for this opportunity to partner with Special Olympics Wisconsin in hosting the First Annual Credit Union Challenge,” said Chris Felton, Corporate Central president/CEO. “We participated in the Titletown Showdown last year, and it was a blast!”

No football experience is needed to participate in this six-on-six flag football tournament, but you must be 18 years of age, or older. The cost to form a team (up to 15 players) is $750 per team. Credit unions are welcome to register multiple teams for this event.
In the spirit of friendly competition, Corporate Central said those teams that raise $3,000, or more will receive 15 Lambeau tour tickets. In addition, it will be holding raffles throughout the event for a chance to win signed Green Bay Packer merchandise.
