MADISON, Wis./WASHINGTON—CUNA will host a new event, CUNA Governance, Risk Management & Compliance Institute, Oct. 2-4, 2017 in Denver.
Created in partnership with Rochdale Paragon Group, the institute offers a credit union-specific education in GRC, a popular business philosophy that integrates and unifies governance, risk management and compliance, CUNA said.
“The team at Rochdale Paragon has a demonstrated expertise in all three pillars of GRC and the way they interact with one another that attendees will deeply benefit from,” said Todd Spiczenski, chief products and services officer at CUNA. “Credit union professionals will leave this event with the tools they need to get integrated, get unified and, above all, get results.”
Representatives from Rochdale Paragon along with experts from both inside and outside the industry will lead the three-day program, according to CUNA. “During in-depth sessions, attendees will master the core ideas of GRC, learn each department’s role in it and gain a roadmap for implementing it at their credit unions,” CUNA said. “The program is best-suited for executives, volunteers, auditors, supervisory committee members, and risk and compliance professionals.”
