MADISON, Wis.— A new white paper, “IT Risk Assessment: Building a Road Map,” designed to provide CUs with more tools to address growing IT risk assessment concerns, has been published by the CUNA Technology Council.
“Risk assessment is a constantly moving target and a job that often seems to find its way to the CIO’s desk. The number of things to track is growing—from hardware to software, policies, vendors and more. And each exam seems to lengthen the list,” the Council said in releasing the white paper.
In addition, the Council said the white paper shares insights from a variety of experts and includes information on:
- Best practices for risk assessment
- Tools and platforms to use
- Suggestions on when and how to pull in a vendor to help
- Growth and how that affects risk assessment needs
- Varying approaches for credit unions of all sizes
