CUNA Reports ‘Middle Class’ Campaign Drawing Interest

Richard Gose, CUNA

WASHINGTON–CUs are responding to CUNA’s “middle class” campaign, an effort by the trade association to emphasize to Washington that the middle class and credit unions go hand in hand.

The trade association reported Monday that its website, www.middleclass2016.com, which offers an overview of all the current candidates for president and their views/quotes around the middle class, has received 9,000 visitors.

A major theme of the 2016 elections has become America’s middle class.

“We are just in our third week and the site has generated some 3,000 messages to the political candidates,” said CUNA’s Chief Political Officer Richard Gose. “We are very excited about this effort and expect to generate many more messages in the coming weeks. It’s been a strong start.”
