CUNA Opens Registration for 2024 GAC

WASHINGTON–CUNA has opened registration for its 2024 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), set to be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington from March 3 – 7.

The meeting is annually the largest held in credit unions.

CUNA noted that voting is currently open on the proposed merger between the trade group and NAFCU, and should the merger be approved, it will be the first even to be hosted by what is to be the new trade association, America’s Credit Unions.

“This event will be essential in elevating the credit union movement not only in 2024, but well into the future as we harness the combined power of national associations, state leagues, credit unions, and system supporters,” CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle said in a statement. “As we meet industry headwinds straight on, it’s more important than ever to meet with policymakers face-to-face. We need to build on our recent successes and pave the way for a bold advocacy strategy in the future.”

‘Wide Range’ of Speakers

According to CUNA, the conference will feature a “wide range of can’t-miss speakers, informational breakout sessions, and networking opportunities designed to help credit unions advance their communities and improve financial well-being for all.”
