WASHINGTON—Noting cybersecurity threats are increasingly affecting the financial sector, CUNA reported it is partnering with the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) on a new Cybersecurity eSchool, which starts July 31.
"In the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape, staying ahead is not just an option but a necessity," said Melisa Kallestad, senior director of compliance & lending education for CUNA. "Our eSchool ensures credit union professionals are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and strategies to compliment their organizations security program and enhance their cyber response and mitigation posture."
According to CUNA, the “comprehensive” online training event is designed specifically for IT and compliance professionals, C-Suite executives, risk managers and anyone who needs a deeper understanding of cybersecurity in the credit union landscape.
Mixture of Online, On-Demand
In addition, CUNA said the eSchool comprises a mixture of live online and on-demand sessions that encourage proactive learning while allowing for schedule flexibility. Recorded versions of the sessions will be available after the eSchool concludes.
Attendees will receive “comprehensive education focused on the three pillars” of cybersecurity: people, processes and technology, CUNA said.
