WASHINGTON—CUNA and the Michigan credit union league Tuesday jointly filed amicus briefs in two ongoing ADA lawsuits against credit unions.
CUNA senior director of advocacy and counsel Alexander Monterrubio said the briefs have been filed in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
“The briefs are substantively similar to briefs we have filed in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals,” Monterrubio said. “While the two cases address the same substantive issue, the reason for the two briefs is that the cases have not yet been consolidated by the courts.”
