MADISON, Wis.—The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council recently recognized four CU leaders for their achievements in marketing and business development.
Hilary Reed, SVP and chief relationship officer at Inspire FCU in Bristol, Penn., won the Marketing Professional of the Year Award.
Reed was recognized for a decade of focused effort and success at Inspire, along with the work she has done for the credit union industry as an active member of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, the council explained.
Carol Payne, VP, communications and marketing at the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, Ontario, Calif., received the Hall of Fame Award.
Payne was chosen based on her enormous contributions in publications, marketing and communications for the industry, the council stated. “She has helped make the California and Nevada Credit Union League one the most recognized, premier state trade associations in the United States,” the council said.
Teea Reed, director of marketing and business development at Union Square FCU in Wichita Falls Texas, won the Rising Star of the Year Award—a new award that recognizes and honors rising professionals with two or fewer years of experience in the credit union industry.
Reed was recognized for her positive impact at Union Square FCU, other credit unions in her state and in her community, the council said.
Sandi Carangi, CEO at Mercer County Community FCU in Hermitage, Penn., was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award.
Carangi, who serves on the CU’s member resources committee, has been a significant contributor to the committee’s success, said the council. “She is insightful in her education recommendations and has offered to present her own findings in a number of channels.”
