WASHINGTON–CUNA has moved its offices here.
As CUToday.info reported earlier, the trade group said it will save more than $500,000 annually in leasing costs as the result of exiting its Pennsylvania Ave. offices in favor of space near Nationals Park.
In all, over the next 10 years CUNA said it will save approximately $6 million as a result of the move.
CUNA has signed a lease for approximately 22,000 square feet at 99 M St. SE, a Class A office building built by Skanska USA Commercial Development. The 11-story building is in the Navy Yard area of the District and seven blocks from the U.S. Capitol, Overall, the building has approximately 220,000 square feet of office space, with approximately 11,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space on the ground floor. The building features a green roof and rooftop terrace, a tenant-only, state-of-the-art fitness facility, secure bicycle storage and four levels of underground parking.
Designed to meet the LEED Gold standard, 99M incorporates innovative techniques to reduce water and energy usage, and limits its impact on the natural environment. With breathtaking views of the Riverfront and the Capitol, it is a building that celebrates the best of the urban experience, according to a statement released by the developer.
