CUNA COVID-19 Restart and Recovery Task Force Meets Again, Adds New Members

WASHINGTON–CUNA’s new CU System COVID 19 Restart and Recovery Task Force has held its third meeting, with a focus on how information and resources related to dealing with COVID-19 might be made better available.

According to CUNA Chief Engagement Officer Greg Michlig, in the most recent meeting, which lasted approximately 90 minutes, concerns were shared and discussed around facilities management, PPE, staffing and other issues, while data on consumer behavior provided by ORIGENCE and PSCU was reviewed.

Moving forward, Michlig said the task force discussed establishing workstreams and focused dialogues around developing forward-looking plans with more specificity, including understanding how credit unions are positioned relative to the recovery stages of COVID-19.

New Members Added

In addition, Michlig said the task force has also expanded its membership to now include:

  • Jay Murray, CEO of Vizo Financial Corporate, representing the Corporate CU Alliance
  • Lucy Ito, president and CEO of NASCUS
  • Maria Martinez, president CEO of Border FCU, representing Latino CUs
  • Pablo DeFilippi of inclusive
  • A soon-to-be-named representative of the African American Credit Union Coalition
