CUNA Announces McMaster to Be Among GAC Keynoters

WASHINGTON–CUNA has announced another of the keynoters for its upcoming virtual Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC).

Former U.S. National Security Advisor, Lt. General H.R. McMaster, will discuss resilience, leadership and more at the meeting, according to CUNA. McMaster, who was named as one of Fortune's "50 World's Greatest Leaders,” will examine what should leadership look like in challenging times, and how can the U.S. foster resilience in an era of unprecedented uncertainty?

McMaster served in the White House as National Security Advisor in 2017-2018 and is a nationally recognized authority on leadership, global security and international affairs. The keynote session is sponsored by CO-OP Financial Services.

Prior to his time in the White House, McMaster was a commissioned Army officer who rose to the rank of Lieutenant General. During his military tenure, McMaster was widely respected for his ability to assess and strategize in active war zones, CUNA said.

McMaster, who was also named to Time’s “100 Most Influential People in the World,” has been published extensively in Foreign Affairs, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, and also served as an assistant professor of history at West Point. He has written two highly regarded books on national security: Battlegrounds and Dereliction of Duty.

CUNA will host its GAC March 2-4. For info: cuna.org/gac/.
