ST. PAUL, Minn.– The Credit Union Financial Education Network (CUFEN) said it has extended the deadline for annual reporting to July 14, with the organization stressing the need for delegates to submit data.
CUFEN said it reviews and compiles the critical information from credit unions nationwide to establish a financial literacy landscape that better equips leaders to locally promote community service efforts and demonstrate the credit union difference.
To simplify this year’s process, CUFEN said developed a reporting survey that can be found here.
“This one-stop reporting survey streamlines information, which allows CUFEN to supply findings quickly and efficiently,” the organization said.
CUFEN added its reporting survey is designed to collect holistic information from credit unions and not from a single employee or department level. It is suggesting using its website’s reporting tips to ensure consistency and continuity among reports.
“Their reporting cadence is designated July 1 through June 30 the following year to better align with traditional school year calendars and the annual CUFEN Conference,” CUFEN said.
‘Heart of the Movement’
“Financial literacy awareness is greater than ever because the realization that we lack knowledge, especially among our nation’s youth, is undeniable,” said CUFEN Chair Trysh Olson. “Enriching lives through financial education is at the heart of the credit union movement.”
Reporting your financial education efforts is critical for continuing the momentum and ensuring our legislators have available resources to help us keep financial literacy top of mind and show the credit union difference.”
