WASHINGTON—CUCollaborate, a platform for credit union collaboration, has announced the beta launch of its membership eligibility search engine: Credit Union Match. The rollout follows by one year a successful KickStarter campaign to raise funds.
Credit Union Match said it is now accepting a limited number of credit unions interested in testing the new network.
In a statement, Credit Union Match said it is taking the concept of “Find a Credit Union” beyond zip code look-ups and delivering a “Join a Credit Union” solution that solves the membership eligibility problem. The patent pending solution simplifies eligibility complexity and provides consumers with a comprehensive list of all of the credit unions they are eligible to join, the organization said.
“The way people find a credit union has been in need of an update,” said CUCollaborate Founder Samuel Brownell in a statement. “It’s time to go deeper than branch locators and provide an experience that creates value for consumers and credit unions.”
Added Lynn Gregory of Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union, “To date other sites either leave us out of their results because they do not consider the employer, or they wrongly present our credit union as an option for consumers who may live near our branch but are not eligible to join.”
The beta launch comes as CUCollaborate said it is preparing to launch a new website and beta of its collaboration platform that also serves as the backend for Credit Union Match and allows credit unions to review and edit their eligibility rules and collect leads generated through Credit Union Match.
