PRESQUE ISLE, Maine–A new electric vehicle purchased by The County Federal Credit Union here will also be used by local police.
The County FCU recently bought a T3 Motion Electric Standup Vehicle as a marketing tool to be part of local parades and events and also to help local law enforcement with patrolling those happenings, according to WAGM.
"First of all it puts us about eight-feet high above the crowd so we can see whatever's going on and also they can see us. We're looking at putting a medical kit on it and a defibrillator," Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan told WAGM.
The vehicle has a top speed of 16 miles an hour, a range of 25 miles, and a less than zero turning radius.
