CU’s Name To Appear Atop 32-Story Building

ATLANTA–A credit union’s name will soon be atop a well-known, 32-story building here.

The $2.2-billion Georgia’s Own Credit Union is moving forward with plans to relocate its headquarters to downtown Atlanta as the anchor tenant in what is now known as the Equitable Building, according to WhatNowAtlanta.com. As part of the move the credit union’s name would appear on top of the building.

The credit union last week filed plans with the City of Atlanta to build out suite 3000 of the building, where an estimated $1 million will be spent preparing the 17,582-square-foot space for Georgia’s Own, WhatNowAtlanta.com reported.

The building, at 100 Peachtree Street NW, has for the last 40 years featured the Equitable name after “Equitable Life insurance company.

In all, the building has 622,084-square-feet of available space.
