WASHINGTON—Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the key to receiving financial aid for college. Unfortunately, for many students and parents it can also be a confusing and challenging process, says Credit Union Student Choice.
In its ongoing efforts to help families navigate the maze of how to best pay for college, Credit Union Student Choice is hosting a free webinar about the FAFSA on Sept. 20, 2017, with sessions at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET. The webinar will also be recorded and archived on Student Choice websites for later viewing.
Led by Student Choice College Access Counselor Patricia Poplicean, “Completing the FAFSA: What You Need to Know”, will help attendees gain a clear understanding of the FAFSA.
Key topics will include:
- What is the FAFSA?
- How to prepare for the FAFSA
- How to complete the FAFSA
- What to expect once it is submitted
Registration is available at www.studentchoice.org/national-webinars.
“Completing the FAFSA is a critically important piece of the college financial aid process,” said Poplicean. “Based on our experience, we know this is an area where many people have questions and concerns. This webinar will provide straight-forward advice to help students and parents better understand and successfully complete the process.”
The presentation is part of a series of quarterly national webinars hosted by Poplicean; since starting the webinars in 2016, hundreds of attendees have benefited from content on preparing for college, completing the FAFSA, student loan repayment, and award letters.
