CU Student Choice Set to Host Fifth Annual Empower U Conference

WASHINGTON–Credit Union Student Choice, a provider of higher education financing solutions to credit unions, is preparing to host the fifth installment of its Empower U conference Sept. 25-26 at the Omni Parker House in Boston.

The company said it is the first and only learning event in the credit union space dedicated to education finance.

“In 2015, Student Choice had a vision of bringing together credit union leaders to help them better understand the world of education finance and learn how to build deeper connections with the next generation of members,” said Michael Weber, chief marketing officer for Credit Union Student Choice. “Over the past five years we’ve grown this exciting event to include two days of powerful content, delivered by top-notch speakers, that will benefit not only a credit union’s student lending program, but their business as a whole.”

This year’s event kicks off Sept. 25 with client workshops led by industry experts on topics ranging from compliance to marketing to disruptive innovation. Marketing and branding expert Gerry O’Brion will return to deliver an opening keynote presentation, following his highly acclaimed session at Empower U in 2017, CU Student Choice. Sept. 26 will feature a diverse lineup of speakers in the areas of neuromarketing, higher education legislation, the current economic outlook, member relationships, and much more, it added.
