CU Sponsoring Rooftop Deck Across From Cubs’ Games (Just Not Those Cubs)

SOUTH BEND, Ind.–The South Bend Cubs, the Low A affiliate of big league Chicago Cubs, have entered into a naming rights deal with United FCU for the new Rooftop Apartment Deck at the team’s Four Winds field. It is expected to primarily be used for corporate or group outings.

According to the team, when the United Federal Credit Union Rooftop opens in June it will be a distinctive feature of the new Ivy at Berlin Place apartment building #2. Positioned just over the left field wall at Four Winds Field, it will feature space for 300 fans with a full bar, food service and grandstand.

The rooftop deck is reminiscent of similar seating across the street from Chicago’s Wrigley field. The seating is exactly 435 feet from home plate.

An illuminated United Federal Credit Union sign will be displayed on the south face of the building and other United Federal Credit Union branding will be featured throughout the stadium.

“United Federal Credit Union is excited to expand our successful relationship with the South Bend Cubs, an organization that knows, like we do, how special the South Bend community is,” said Terry O’Rourke, president/CEO of United FCU in a statement. “Forging this partnership with the team is just one example of our continued commitment to this community and improving the lives of those who live here.”

As part of the deal, United Federal will set aside two games per month in which the public will be able to buy tickets $35 each, which will include a two-hour buffet.
