ST. HELENS, Ore.–Wauna Credit Union here has purchased naming rights to Columbia View Park, which is on the river of the same name.
The St. Helens City Council voted unanimously to approve the $22,750 sponsorship, which gives Wauna Credit Union naming rights to the staged events held in Columbia View Park, which includes any temporary stages set up for popular events. The sponsorship runs through 2019.
According to WCU, the contract also puts it at the top of the list when it comes to granting sponsorship rights for future stages that might be built in the park — something city staff and event planners have discussed as a possibility next year.
PampinMedia.com quoted Administrator John Walsh as saying the sponsorship agreement includes naming rights to a temporary 30-by-50-foot tent with flooring that will be set up during Spirit of Halloweentown activities in October, along the former Boise veneer plant waterfront property.
The three-year contract is good until December 2019, when it can be renewed at the City Council’s discretion.
